Job Purpose

Job responsibilities

Achieve the budgeted Packed Production with the highest production efficiency, glass draw and within the agreed upon quality standards

Ensure of handling conflict and all problems during shifts

Job Purpose

To ensure smooth operation of batch and furnace systems, monitor furnaces performance and make plans for furnace rebuilding and repairs.

Job responsibilities

Supervise the work of subordinates and schedule and prioritise departmental work and assignment of duties

Monitor unloading, storing, mixing, conveying and melting of all batch materials

Ensure a consistent batch quality and supervise all batch melting and temperature units and analysis.

Conduct periodic inspection of all batch and furnace systems and equipment and take corrective actions.

Supervise preventive maintenance programmes.

Act as the co-ordinator of furnace rebuilding projects

Job Purpose

Maintain routine maintenance schedule for Diesel Generator sets, compressors, cooling towers, dryers, water treatment system and compressed air distribution network.

Perform regular chemical dosing for cooling towers.

Perform daily sampling of cooling towers water quality.

· Check mould equipment before installing on the machine

· Check bottles visually after mould equipment change for mould related defects

· Inform relieving operator on the status of the job

· Strictly adhere to safety rules

To adjust machine settings to eliminate defects and to change running moulds as necessary.

To maintain a minimum 95% good bottles going into lehr.

To record machine breakdown incidences in the log book.

Job Purpose

Prepare all the variables required for the next job change and place next to the machine

Ensure that preventive maintenance work performed during job changes is completed within the standard time set by the Maintenance Unit In-Charge

Job Purpose

· Implement corrective actions to rectify mechanical failures

· Assist in machine start up and setting following job changes during the General Shift to normal conditions

· Monitor lehr performance during the shift and take corrective actions

· Monitor ware handling and take corrective actions.

Job Purpose

Supervise furnace operators, junior furnace operators and masons to ensure that they are carrying out their responsibilities during the shift

Monitor batch material quality to ensure adherence to quality standard and specifications

Adjust batch composition in case batch is out of specification to ensure continuous adherence to glass quality specifications

Monitor all furnace operation parameters including temperature, pressure and glass level.

Job Purpose

Supervise, monitor and follow-up all activities to ensure that quality and quantity of container glass in accordance with customer satisfaction

Inspect quality of packed ware using specified guidelines and work instructions established by the Quality Assurance for each job.

· Maintain continuous communication with Forming department regarding defects identified to ensure a minimum XX% pack efficiency

Conduct stone count in XX bottles whenever stones are present including multiple stones in bottles.

Randomly inspect quality of packed ware using specified guidelines and work instructions established by the Quality Assurance for each job hourly.
